not gonna do it just yet,but thinking of just getting everything i need to possible swap it over next year,after i get the engine build up

the junk yard by me has like 5 cars i can possible use,and there all manuels

he has 3 cavs,2 saturn,and 1 sunfire

i never worked on an 5 speed nor ever swaped anything before,
i wanted a 5 speed so bad,but i settle for an auto again cause i got an good deal.and now that i could possible swap it over,its something i am thinking really hard and bad about doing

if anyone can help me on the parts i whould need to get from the cars,whould be much of help.thx


when its all or nothing,just remember to do not short shift

basically... everything you see different with the 5spd car needs to be moved over to the auto car.

If any of those cars are a 00+ snag everything from the 00+. Also your going to need to purchase the transmission mounts which need to be welded to the frame and the automatic one cut out. Also need to drill the fire wall for the Clutch MC and clutch pedal. All the dimensions are listed on this website, just search this forum.

Its not an easy or cheap chore lemme tell ya. I am in the process of doing it myself, and knowing what I do now about them, i would have just stayed an auto. I wouldn't have a car thats been down going on 2 years now. But I'm also doing a pre-2000 eco swap with the trans swap.
