Well about every other day or so now.. i have just been driving the car normally it will then shift hard once and kick the check engine light on for p0742 torque converter sensor circuit stuck on,.. while the light is on.. it shifts like hell and when i stop it almost wants to stall out.. alot like a failing torque converter. Right when i reset the light it shifts perfect again just until the light kicks back on

So is there a specific torque converter circuit sensor that anyone knows of or how to change it??

yes i had the same problem on my old 95 cavi. theres a sensor the goes to the transmission. its been awhile since ive seen it, but kinda towards the drivers side of the transmission, there is a plug there. try pulling that plug and driving it. mine worked fine after i did that. let me know whats up.
