I'm looking for a getrag tranny that came in J-bodies with 2.4 motors (right before GM swapped to the eco)

and I just want to make sure that I have the years right....

I believe that they came that in in only 2000 and 2001.... am I right or wrong?

2000-2002 had the 2.4 with the Getrag.

There is something esle I want to make sure of too....

I have a 97 with an Izuzu, and I'm swapping to a getrag. Since I have a 2.4, the getrag should just bolt right in without modification to any mounts right? I know there is a list of other things that need to be replaced... I just want to be damn sure that once I have a getrag compliant clutch and pressure plate on the engine that it will just bolt right in.

Once the tranny is in and the car is on the ground.... I can start replacing all the other crap.

No, the mounts are completely different, along with the shift linkage, shifter assembly, etc. About the only thing you can use from the old transmission is the axles.

I knew about everything except the mounts.

So you have to cut and weld like with the 2.2 then hugh.... thats sucks.
