This question isn't based around a J-Body tranny, but may be helpful to others, so I posted here.
Was wondering if anybody has ever used a transmission fluid additive to clean out their solenoids and basically "repair" some of the aging affects. I wanna use something like this before I drain the fluid and replace it along with a new filter. The tranny I'm trying to clean up is the g/f's 4t60E. It lags a lot before shifting and has symptoms of clogged solenoids. Seafoam makes a product and I've seen a few others as well.
Any testimonials?
No one's ever used a product like this...?
I'm planing on using that probable on saturday....i'll let you know how it works out.....i'v already used the oil one and it worked REALLY good....my car runs excellent now!

Search Seafoam in this forum Plenty of horror stories, and from personnel expereince it didnt work well.
