Here's the car:
98 Cavalier
2.2L 5-spd
167k kms on it
Replaced the clutch last spring, got a 2nd flywheel, had it machined, new exedy OEM clutch, new slave (also had the diff replaced and such..) clutch would be strange to bleed, the usual pump pump pump, hold, release valve didnt work all that well, but while pumping you could open the bleeder valve and fluid would go through, bled it that way, and worked fine.
2k kms later (incidentally around fall) i opened my clutch fluid resevoir just to check things out, and i heard a brief suction sound, but there was full fluid in there, so didnt think anything of it.
bout a week later (i dont drive much) I noticed my clutch start engaging closer and closer to the floor, untill I had no clutch. So, i replace the master cylinder, it would bleed properly, but after about 2-3 uses while driving there would be no clutch again. Took it to a shop, they said my Slave was pooched... so waited till I had cash and the time to take it to my buddy's place, and have him replace the slave. He's replaced the slave, put everything back togeather, and cannot get the clutch to disengage fully. He's a GM tech (v6ho if anybody knows him), so he knows whats going on, i just want opinions and different things to try... i'm going nuts and broke at the same time!
