i posted this but i dont think it worked ...so sorry if this is a double post.
installed the TTR auto mount and now the tranny is whining. The trac off light also came on and it started shifting like i have the B&m turned on....but its not. The only thing i can come up w/ is electrical since i had the battery out of the car. there is no fluid loss.
any ideas?????????? dont want to drive it like it is.
no CEL. do you think i should try disconnecting the B&M all together?

Read all of the past post, the whine is normal. It sounds like a manual transmission. Eric R our tested posted a few time stating this, also a few customers who have already installed this have stated this. There is no way a mount will cause a CEL or trac off light on the dash. Has to be something else....

Just thought... Did you break the ABS electrical line when replacing the mount? I have seen the wire break going to the wheel and causing a trac off light...

I remebered reading about other people saying there is a whine, which i assumed was the faint whine i heard at the beginning. but it started getting louder and thats when the trac light came on. In no way did i suggest that the mount was causing anything wrong.i'm not dumb. i was just stating thats when it happened so it might give someone a clue as to what might have happened while i was installing it. i.e the ABS wire.
i know of some shops that would put the blame on the mount if they couldnt figure out the problem.
anyways......i disconnected the batt again and this morning i drove about a mile and the Trac came off and started to shift normal. it came on briefly and went out again when i was at a red light.so.....hopefully i wont have to write anymore in this post. i think i will check the ABS wire incase i might have pinched it or something.

check all the wiring around the trans mount area , make sure nothing got pinched or cut
the mount is in my friends 01 sf gt and 3 different people have driven it since it was put in his car , which also has the shift plus from b&m , and the noise from the trans never got louder , or any different from my cav
only thing i can think of is something happened during the install , im not blaming you for a crappy install of anything , we all have accidents , hell ive had more than my fair share
Did you remove your intake during the install? Could you have left the IAT sensor out? Just removing the simple possibilities before going more in depth.

A more accurate observation has never been typed. These should be the starting points before any serious performance modification. What's the point of making a serious performer if you can't control it's power?
yes......i did leave the IAT out.. ive done that before and the car runs like crap but its never made my tranny sound like it did.
its been fine since i diconnected the battery again (and put the iat back in) so i can rule out CUT wires. there still might be something pinched, so im gonna look it over this weekend.

yep-that was the issue, the auto's HATE not havin that IAT plugged in. mine didnt shift right, cel came on and the trac off light came on when i had mine unplugged once.
