I've been doing a bunch of parts search for my motor swap and i was looking at drive shafts n such....
For re manufactured ones, they are saying i have to remove the female portion off the passenger side shaft and install that into the new one. Now i remember i had to do that on my 99 OHV 4t40e and fluid came out when i took the drive shafts out. When i took them out of the eco motor they were identical looking and no fluids drained out....
All that fluid came out of the stall...
Edit - After lookin at some pics, i think that female portion is still inside the transmission as shown in that last pic. I thought they are just in their with a retainer clip and i used a pry bar and it did "pop" outta place. Anyone know how to remove that little portion out of the transmission?

Anyone?
My drive shafts out of the 2200 4t40e, had the male end on this bottom shaft... Shouldn't the eco's if they are the same tranny?
axles are the same for the 4t40 regardless of motor
1 axle should have a male and 1 a female
