What fluid do I need for a 2002 getrag transmission?

Im pretty sure its auto tranny fluid
I just want to make sure it is not that special GM syncomesh fluid. I checked at Autozone and at Advance Auto Parts and neither place could say for sure. I was just going to buy the B&M trick shift fluid ATF but it did not say anywhere on the bottle that it worked for manual transmissions.

Im not sure if this is the case anymore but i heard of a tsb that says NOT to do that.....
owners manual for my 02 manual 2200 says atf
use any dexron 3 compatable oil, synthetic of your choice if you want. dont bother with trick shift or type F, those are things you use for firmer shifts in automatics.
So I thought I would let everyone know I bought some Valvoline Full synthetic VI On the botle valvoline recomends IV for use with chrysler/dodge V for use with Ford and VI for use with GM

Yes it is ATF. I have used B&M trick shift (love it compared to stock). I put Hurst synthec it, then went back to B&M. I will be going back to Hurst.
FU Tuning
Well the Valvoline I got is synthetic so hopefully I like it. If not I might drain it and try the Hurst
