Clutch Replacement
Tuesday, February 13, 2007 4:33 PM
I have a clutch masters stage 1 clutch and the last person that tried to replace the clutch had problems and the clutch ended up being back to a new stock one. Now since im doing a turbo install in a week I wanna get the clutch replaced. Now my first question is can I reuse a olmost new slave cylinder? It was put in like 20k ago and I don't feel it should be replaced. I have never been in that part of my car and i wanna do the clutch swap with a jack, basicly i just unbolt the tranny and lower it enough to replace the clutch? My next step is how hard is the actual job? I have moderate tools and a heated garage, by moderate I mean standard sockets, jacks, ramps, the normal stuff. I am not afraid of a turbo install why am i afraid of a clutch install

You should be able to reuse the slave cylinder. As for swaping the clutch, the trans will prob have to be fully removed from the car. Its not that hard to do a clutch, just set aside a weekend and get someone to help if you need it
