I have 2002 LS Sport cavy with an ecotech. I have recently lost 2nd gear and to avoid with a rebuild i plan on just swapping the tranny. My question is will a 05 or 06 cobalt tranny work. and is this a one day or two day project. Any stumbling blocks i may need a heads up on would be appreciated

i thought they were both getrag trannys since they both have the 2.2 ecotech i know in 02 they did the fuel rail a lil different but i thought they used the same tranny
what models will work do i have to find a 2002
is there a number stamped on the tranny that identifies what i need
