Going to snap!
Wednesday, October 11, 2006 11:54 PM
So tonight I was on my way home and dropped second then about 4 miles from my house fourth went. I've got an 04 sunfire and in the two and half years I've had it it's been in the dealer 5 times now I believe it is for trans problems and this last time (3 freaking weeks ago) it was fixed and I was told I have no more issues. Thus in about 6 hours I will be at the dealer going nuts. If I don't get a new trans I'm leaving the car in the middle of the shop and telling them to keep there p.o.s. I love my car but I'm through with this b.s.

Update right quick. The dealer "tells" me that somehow my amp power cable got in the way of some linkage by the trans. But the thing is it was no where near the trans before they worked on replacing the slave cylinder last month. And they want me to pay $82 for them putting some zip ties on something they f*cked up.

No offense here bud, but I hope you take this to heart...

Either learn to diagnose some of the easy things yourself, or you really don't have a right to complain that the shop took an hour and a half to diagnose and fix the problem (most shops have a minimum rate). I bet if you spent about 10 minutes checking out the shift linkages you would have seen your amp cable blocking the linkage, and fixed it yourself. These are things you have to expect when you bring your car into the dealer. Your amp cable isn't factory equipment, so they really don't screw around with it. The FIRST thing anybody should ever do after getting work done at a shop, is to take a look over the custom or added parts on the car to make sure they are replaced correctly.
