I race on dirt tracks with my 98 2.4l. I am having a problem with gearing. I can't run 2nd gear because I get into the rev limiter way too soon. If I run 3rd gear I am doggy come out of the corners. I have changed tires sizes and can't quite get where I need to be. What do you guys suggest?

I didn't know if gears out of any other transmissions will work or not? I have a 98' 2200 manual transmission and I do believe a 2002 ecotec 5 speed transmission that I am not using. So any help would be appreciated.

out of the 2200 transmission, I believe you can take out the 3rd and 4th gears and swap them to your isuzu.
