Hey guys. Just got my shifter off of eGay.

Looks to be only about 2 or so inches shorter then the stock one but i payed for it it is going in.

1st.. can I get rid of that gay reverse safety? If NOT, does anyone make a shift knob that will actually fit over that big fugly ring?

2nd... The thing came with no instructions.. from the looks of it there is a ring that goes over the ball that is at the base of the shift lever. how do I get that off? Does the console have to come out or anything fancy?

anyone ever do this before?
