What clutch to use for an 3800SC swap?
Saturday, July 29, 2006 7:15 AM
Ok I figured out what transmission I have, it's from a 2001 2.2 Sunfire. Thanks to all that helped me identify it. But now I have another problem I was going to originally use a centerforce but they have discontinued it for the 2.2 Getrag. I'm now looking at the SPEC Stage 3 but I wanted get some opinions and input from you guys. Thanks

The 2.2 tranny will. But you have to use the flywheel from a 3800 F-body. Then have the flywheel machined down to the thickness of the 2.2's flywheel. Then it'll bolt.

What about the starter, does the teeth match up ok or will I keep going through flywheel/starter. I was going to go custom but this may be a cheaper alternative for now
