Ok I bought a tranny last year from the wreckers, I know it was from a 2000-2002 j-body but I don't whether it was from a 2.2 or 2.4. What is the visual difference between the 2.2 and 2.4. Please help I'm stuck and I need to order a clutch for it, or if anyone knows what number to give GM to identify it. I looked but all I found was a white sticker with a bar code on it and some numbers and the US Patent Number.

The difference is the pattern on the bellhousing.

the pocket for the starter is low (bottom half of the bellhousing) on the 2.2 and near the top (upper half of the bell housing) for the 2.4.
