Ok, I'll admit I'm a newbie when it comes to j-bodies. So this is probably a newbie question, but I have searched, and read the FAQ and can't find what I'm looking for.

I need some info on the MR3 transmission. What cars this tranny came in, and more importantly, what were the gear ratios for this tranny. Anyone point me in the right direction?

I've done some searching and a lot of what I find refers to this tranny as the MR3/MK7 tranny. Now I've been told that the MR3 tranny will bolt up to my 2.2, replacing the MK7 tranny that is there now. So I assume the only difference is the gearing.
Anyone know the gearing?

if you can track down what it came out of and the year....... I might be able to find some gearing info.

92 Baretta with a 2.2L for one for sure. I think 88-92 CAvaliers too, but I'm not sure.
