My 2000 cavalier has a slight problem with the trans. Everytime I shift from park to Drive or Reverse it rocks the car. Not too bad but it's annoying and since a couple of days ago it has been making this sound everytime I shift into D or R. It's as if it was hitting metal to metal. I was thinking about the trans mount. are there any aftermarket mounts for autos? BTW it's a 3t40 with 45K miles. would a 4t40-e give you better performance stock. I mean, if you have two identical cars one 3-speed and the other 4-speed, which one will give you the best 1/4 times? I was thinking on swaping the 3 speed for a 4 speed but I would to change a lot of things since the 4 speed is electronically control I'd have to find the harness and all that stuff. right?
