My automatic always says its in 3rd Except for reverse and 1st
Drive=3rd
Park=3rd
Neutral.. NO light comes on the dash at all
2nd=3rd
1st=1st


again i mean "says" as in the Light underneath PRND321..

And also sometimes the light goes out completly and the ETS OFF light comes on and goes back in fourth it clearly looks like a lose connection somewhere i went thru alot of water last nite thought something got wet i took offf both sensors from the tranny n blew them out with compressed air hooked it back up it seemed to work PERFECT i went around the block and as i was driving the light went off then went to 3rd.

Im thinking theres some kind of switch somewhere??

disconnected the battery for awhile took off trany sensors plugged it back in and it worked great for the first timw whne i started car.. i turned it off and back on and it does the same thing again !
