I have a 1999 Sunfire GT 5spd,Does anyone have any info they can give me on swapping the diff thats in my car now with a stronger one,I've heard that the diff in a Sunbird will work and is much stronger,any info you guys can give me would be great,thanks alot
I believe its a Geo Storm diff that people are talking about, not exactly sure what year.... Really dont have any other info for you... you can get lucky and try to find a quaife but that will cost you an arm and a leg if you can find one....
pretty much all of the older isuzu transmissions had the stronger diff...... Turbo Sunbird, SOHC Geo Storm (dohc used larger axles), Turbo Grand Am, the 2.2/2.0 5 speeds in the J bodies....... in 94/95 they went to the weaker/cheaper spider gears......
