ggrrrrr-ing noise in front end..
Saturday, January 28, 2006 7:43 AM
i have a gggrrrrr-ing noise in the front end of my 01 Z24. I thought it was a wheel bearing, so i replaced them...But the noise is still there...and it is only getting louder. It only makes the noise when the car is moving and in every gear (5 speed). Just wondering if anyone else has ever encountered this or knows anything that will help. Thanks in advance, Jay

The throw-out bearing makes noise, but it sounds more like the carrier bearing......Jay

the faster i go the louder it gets.....it doesn't make noise unless the car is moving...the throwout bearing spins with the engine, not the wheels.....Any ideas????? Its making me insane

If it only makes the noise when you are moving try and replace the wheel bearings that was my problem.
