Greetings my 98 cavalier is having a really weird shift problem. My clutch is working opposite of what it should.

If I press the clutch all the way down, my transmission will engage, if I let of the clutch the vehicle acts as if in nuetral.

Any ideas on this one?

Learn how to shift that way.Then if anyone ever tries to steal your car, they're in for a fun ride!

Seriously, I have no clue what could be wrong. Probably something with the clutch MC or slave.

i dont know how the hell thats even possible.
you could go to autozone and get a haynes manual,tear the whole system down and put it back accordingly.if that dosent fix it then im gonna say prolly the clutch master cylinder.GOOD LUCK.
