A while back i posted a topic about the cav's theoretical top speed, but i got another question. Can anyone tell me what 4300 rpm in 5th gear on a mostly stock 98 cav with a 2200 equals?
i had a gear ratio/speed thing..... but not sure where it is now.
google for it...

I have all the gear #'s jotted down let me know if you need any more.
cool deal thanks. Does 118 sound right for what i mentioned?
Yeah its somewhere up there, but it also depends on your rim and tire size, which the calculator accounts for.
Also please don't attempt those speeds on the street. Take it to a track. And if its stock with stock rims and tires, it'll cut fuel at 108, just in case you didn't know.
I got original size tires, 195/70-14's. I know they aren't rated that high, but i was on a stretch of road that goes on for like 10-15 miles w/o any turns. And it's about 5 miles out side of town. I know about the fuel cut and govern....thats how i got over it
But i agree with you on takin it to the track, it's VERY rare that i try that, but since i got my tach workin again, just wanted to see what she would do
