Ok, I decided to swap out to a 5 speed manual, my local junkyard had one hanging around for my car with less than 30k on it, for $250. My only question is, things like the CV's and the output shaft are prone to failure under great stress (as everything is), and i managed to find CV's at Jbodyperformance, but what about the output shaft? anyone know where I can find a beefier one of those? and what about gears for inside the tranny?
no need for a beefier input shaft....... and no need for the stronger gears, at least the 1st-5th...... the only thing I would worry about is the Diff gears....... (spider gears). If its an Isuzu, I'd switch to the spider gears found in the early Isuzu Impulse/ Geo Storms....... they where stronger (just dont use the Twin Cam Trans..... wont work)
