here's my problem. coming back from the store today, i pulled onto the main road and as i accelerated i noticed it wasn't shifting into 2nd. i took my foot off the gas, asked myself "wtf?" and started to give it more gas. i hit about 40 mph and could hear the engine just keep on rev'n up, and it still wouldn't shift. now i don't have a tach, but hearing it rev like it did, i knew it wasn't good. so i took it easy the rest of the way home.
am i right with my assumption that my trans. is shot and is about to die on me??? or could it be something else?
ok, i went to check the fluids, and after spending god knows how long looking for the dipstick ( the haynes book said "under the master cylinder" ) so i'm looking and looking...i didn't see shyte. i was just about to slam the hood when i just happen to notice, next to the "battery"...not the master cylinder, something that resembled a dipstick.....low and behold, it was the one for the trans. check the fluids and it appears to be low, so i'll pick some up tomorrow and keep my fingers crossed that it will solve my problem.
