yeah it will work all ecotec automotics have the 4 speed. So you will have no problems

ive installed several in 03 and 04's , and never had any problems
please refer to this post for pics , the 4t40/4t45 the wires are in the same spot and colors

also i use heat shrink style butt connectors , i worked for chevrolet , and its their recomended wire repair method , they have a glue inside that seals and makes the connection stronger
i will tell the radiator hose is in the way of getting to the plug on the eco's i use a pry bar to hold it out of the way while i did the installs , also the intake tube is in the way and needs to be removed
