I've been searching the wreakers for a cheap 5 speed isuzu tranny for a 2.4....I found only one, its from a 95 2.3 and $90 (canadian) if i pull it my self. after about two hours of working it out, i notice that the case has a hole in it right near the differential, i can actually see the differential through the hole (1 inch), i'm not sure how the hole got there, but the case is now empty (fluid). is there a way to weld a piece a metel to cover the hole on the housing.
no something prolly came out of that hole find another trans....mantrans in florida they will ship to you..search on web you'll find
Yeah, the only reason there would be a hole in the transmission is because something wanted to get out, quick. If there is a hole in the transmission case, you can bet the farm that the transmission is toast. Walk away from that deal.

Buy stuff from CarCustoms Ebay! Won't be disappointed!
I hope you didn't already buy it. The spider gear retainer pin found it's way out of there. I bet you can probably pull out a spider gear or two if you fish around in there. I already saw that happen to CNFX (Tony)

no i didn't buy it, I wanted to ask on here first, i'm glad i did. i never knew parts can blow out of the tranny like that, i just thought the Big forklift truck maybe hit the tranny while lifting the car.
