ok.....i just got my new motor put in at the shop (I had to becuase of the warrenty) anyway when the car shifts at a slow speed cassual neighborhood driving there is a slight tick in the transmission or at least thats where it sounds like right before it shifts into second then again when it shifts into third.........also asside from this when i let off the gas there is a weird noise on the left side of the car (I think this has something to do with the suspension) i think this becuase when the car is off and my girl got out it made that noise so i got in the passenger side and bounced and the noise persisted as i shook the car..........but the transmission has me worried........when i drive at highway speeds the trasmission doesn't do it well not often i think the shop may have messed up synchronising the trassmission with the motor..................................it sounds like a slight grind or metal contact. also does it when i first set to drive off (before my foot touches the throttle) in the roll.
racing a ford is like racing a fat kid.
iam having this same issue... i looked all over the site and coulnt find any help, also when i drive the gears only shift if i let go the gas pedal, and also any gear from p-r-n-d-3-2-1 dont get passed 2500 rpm -3000 rpm, can any one please help me?

Thats a new one, please explain.
Im thinking maybe a tranny mount. This is a toughy everything else i can think of would cause a noise when you press the throttle. Maybe your hearing the valves actuating and you only hear it at low speeds due to the reduced road noise. But i have never believe that the valves would make that much noise. Try getting the tranny flushed to see if that helps.
i already got a flush but it didnt help, i also got a tranny treatment, but nothing changed,,,
the noise is getting worse everyday..... it also takes me about 15sec to get my car to 30MPH!!!!!
Rafael, It sounds like a torque converter issue to me. How was the fluid that came out of the tranny?
Im think it might also be in the valves also. Could not be directing fluid to the correct places.
well the fluid was dark=brown.....
would you be able to tell me if its worth fixing if the problem is within the
valves + tranny or just getting a used engine+tranny is better?
It sounds like your torque converter isnt working properly due to that your fluid was burnt. As for if its worth fixing this tranny, i cant tell you. It would be best to take it to a repectable garage and have them look at it.
