What is the differentce between the hahn stage 1 and stage 2 turbo kit for my 05 ecotec sunfire?
What are the costs for both kits?
What am i looking at price wise jsut for complete pro install for the kit BEFORE tune?
Should i boost in the next month or 2 with turbo, or wait until hopefully GM comes out with a SC kit before summer?????
I believe stage 1 does not come with the intercooler and stage 2 does.
I got a quote from hahn for the stage 2 and it was 3595.00 shipped to my door
Just guessing for a quote w/ tune id say around 1000 or 1200 bucks( im getting mine done for 500)
Dont count on the supercharger anytime soon. Turbo it and tune it good and you'll have no problems.

What hp can i expect with a stage 2 with sut this added any most everything else stock except a catback?
how reliable is this on 8-9 psi?aka will i avhe a large risk of blowing my motor?
The difference in stage 1 and 2 is intercooler and how much lube you will need so it just slides in real nice when you get raped. I mean 3500 for a turbo kit? wow you could build that kit for cheaper. But soon hypsy will come on and praise hahns kit. It is a high quality kit dont get me wrong if i had money to waste i would buy it. But if you have any technical inclination to do things yourself do some research find a welder and buy parts seperately. Now if you want to buy a hahn kit i suggest you go here.

My kit cost over $3600 to put together...

Buy stuff from CarCustoms Ebay! Won't be disappointed!
Can you imagine people buy houses and the builders make a profit it. It's crazy.
I love my HAHN stage 2 and there's no other preassembled kit I'd consider. Stage 2 also comes w the necc fuel mods to run 8-10 psi, where stage 1 is really only good up to about 5 psi.

What does your kit include? Just curious id like to compare the kits from hahn and yours. I wasnt flaming hahns kit like i said its definately quality and for the people that are willing to fork out that much money to have someone do it for them its great. But for others its not. I I couldnt bring myself to spend that much money on a pre-assembled kit for my car. Not tthat i dont enjoy quality parts but i enjoy cost effective parts as well. There fuel mods iinclude a fuel pump, injectors, and an fmu correct?

exactly your getting more for the same price. i didnt like my safc2 i got rid of it. The boost controller is always a plus. 3600 andyour including boost controller and afc well if i was to include my clutch, water injection, etc.... it would cost more but i think for 3600 you could boost your motor properly and be half way done with a motor build (bottom end.)

As Respooled2k3 said...The Hahn kit is very expensive when compared to building your own kit. This is a fact of business. Hahn did all the design, testing, and other stuff many people don't want to do.
The Hahn kit is as complete a kit as you will ever find IMO. It contains every nut, bolt, screw, wire, clip, and connector needed for the install. If you are looking for a easy way to get into the boost world, and don't mind paying a little more, then the Hahn Stage 1 is awesome. If your looking to get into boost and know you'll want to push the car, like me, then the Stage 2 kit is a awesome start point. I made 222HP on 7.5PSI the day after I installed my kit. Now on 12PSI I make 260WHP. On 15PSI I should be over 300WHP...with only minorly different fuel injectors and FMU disk than the standard stage 2 has.
Let me know if you have any questions. I will be at class tomorrow till about 12-12.30 but you can find me on AIM after that....computer willing.

Personally if I were to boost an ecotec I would build the kit myself, probably build my own exhaust turbo header aswell. What style of manifold do you get with the hahn? I would probabl build a ram design if I were to build one and have it run a stage 2 size turbo (probably the same turbine as the stage 1 in hahns case) but something maybe a little bigger than a t3/4 trim. I dont know, I havent researched enough for proper spooling. Buy a jy turbo, and rebuild it, it will still be cheaper than buying a new one, and itll be more than good enough, unless you run it at full spec all the time and bag the crap outta your motor. Buy something good for 12-13pounds and run 9 all the time. Which should spool quickly enough.
I dunno, dont listen to me :dunno:
I have been looking into the Hahn turbos, I am not looking to smoke srt-4's or anything, I just want enough power to keep up with some. Does anyone know if the Stage 1 turbo by Hahn will work with an Automatic? I wish I had money to convert it to a manual but I am still hoping on the Power Ball.
"Smoked"
As I stated in your other thread, with the same question in it BTW, neither of the kits are designed for auto trans cars. This is a possiblity for the kit in the future though.

sorry if any one has posted and sorry if i do double post but at 8 psi the stage two turbo kit puts out ~90-100hp SAFTLY ON STOCK ENGINE!! acording to this site ...
http://www.turbo-kits.com/cavalier_turbo_kits.html but then again this is only for the ecotec! it tells you all the good stuff that comes with it and look to the right of the screan and you can see the states from it and the warrenty 3.5k doesn't seem that bad to me.
