Just wondering waht the largest injector you can get away with using in the reflash before you have problems with rich idle and stalling out? Anyone have any suggestions.....just wondering before I buy mine. How about the Ford Red or Green tops would the computer be able to pull enough fuel wiht that large of an injector?????
Thanx Charles
well come on hahaha its a mysterious ? an I want to konw hahahahaa
Thanx Charles
ive got 36lb , and i had to drop the base fuel pressure to 30 psi , and its still runs rich
the stock gm s/c injectors were lean
i went from low 13 afr to high 11's
i need a smaller pulley now
ford red tops are pretty much the same as the s/c injectors, the highest you could run is ford brown tops 35-35lbs, green tops are too big i know kane tried that and couldnt get it to work without using the emanage to take fuel out at low rpms
R.I.P. Brian Klocke, you will never be forgotten
where would i find a set of red or brown tops like out of waht car and year. Also what would be the best way of dropping base presure so it runs decent?
Thanx Charles
The reflashed pcm will freak out and trip codes with anything above or below 15% of 310cc. Max you can use without freaking out is 356.5cc.

so what would be the best injector for me brown tops are low impendance and my car is high. I want to run around 12 lbs boost stock motor like some the other ppl around here. I know i need to upgrade my tranny and everything else but the motor should be fine from what i have seen. Im jsut wondering what injectors everyone thinks i should be running???
Thanx Charles
Honestly, judging by the questions you just asked, you need to do more research on forced induction in general as well as just overall j-body research.
12lbs of boost on a Garrett T3 Super 60 turbo is NOT the same as 12lbs of boost on a Turbonetics T-76.
Low impedance injectors will work just fine on a high impedance system if you wire in a 10 ohm resistor in series to each individual injector harness.
I cannot answer your question of what injectors to get because your goal is not relevant to anything. Horsepower is a more direct measurement for a goal. At least then we can measure out a turbocharger that will meet your goals and then determine what injectors to go with based on other people's experimenting with different injectors.
The brown tops are actually too big if you want to refrain from the pcm freaking out. 97cavie24ls, I'm assuming your car is NOT idling around 14.7 a/f. This isn't normal. You're probably running so rich because the car can only control up to 356.5cc injectors (yours are 378cc). That's probably fine I guess if you're able to tune to a proper a/f ratio when driving and you can accept that you are killing your catalytic converter (don't even know if you have one or not) at idle. Just for kicks, can you reply with your idle a/f ratio please?

it woudl be on a super 60 and also i was jsut trying to figure out what most ppl are running and are having the best of luck with. I know i need to do a lil more research but....i didnt know i could use low impendence on a high impendence system im not really into electronics i wanted that closest and easyist way to get the right a/f with a reflash and 12 lbs off a super 60.
