Right now I'm looking to buy a rebuild kit or buy the parts seperately. I want to be able to run 10lbs of boost on it every once in a while. Are there any kits out there so I dont have to search all over the internet for em?

Okay well to run 10 psi on your 2200 you don't need any internals..... I've been running 11PSI for 3 months......... on stock 2200 internals....... no problems......... However if you want to upgrade then great! check out my cardomain...... see what I have to be able to run 11 daily....safely.....

^^^ Agreed
I'm sure you could retard timing A LOT, dump A LOT of fuel and run a WAY cold set of plugs and PROBABLY be safe on the stock bottom end, but still...that's more than rolling the dice.
You're not really looking for a RE-build kit, you're looking for stronger internals. How crazy do you wanna get?
(bottom AND top end...?)
The only re-build kits i really know of are here
http://www.importperformanceparts.net/ And they look like there ok, but seem to not include rods. But thats no biggie, eagle makes a great set for the 2200. By the by i have no knowledge about the company or its credentials. Oh, and im running 11psi alright too, but i have good fuel and timing upgrades, it seems to be holding together, but it would be deffinetly smart to build up the engine.
So the import performance sell a kit, does anyone know of anyone else or have delt with importperformanceparts.com

I would be confident in a stock internal 2.2 liter being able to handle 10psi or 200-220hp with a good tune. There is a guy around here who had a 97 2.2 that was turbo with a good tune. He was running 10psi and dynoed at 204hp & 199 torque with an air fuel around 11:8 and only pulled out 1 degree of timing. He beat the hell out of that motor, and never had any problems. He was running it hard just to try to blow it up, and it never blew.
So, I would say 10psi or around 200-220hp on a stock internal 2.2 with a good tune would be ok.

I'm shootin for 250hp and I want something able to hold up to future upgrade.

Im convinced now that even with a built bottom end and a good tune timing must be retarded starting at 9-11 psi. Im rebuilding currently too and am going with badger performance pistons, oem rings, stock rods, new bearings, and arp rod studs. Not a wicked setup but good for 12-13 reliably. And only a $400 rebuild. YAY
Are those forged pistons? Be prepaired to spend more than $400 on a rebuild.
