To start off my turbo setup, I didn't buy a boost controller...I figured I'll just run off the wastegates limit and buy one later. My question is, what max PSI should I be running on just a 38 MM Tial Wastegate?
FYI: I'm using a T3/T4 50 Trim turbo.
Any help is appreciated.

depends on what spring is in the wastegate.... duh
if you use a 5 lbs spring, you'll get 5 psi...

LOL I had no idea...I'm still new to this.
I'm not sure what they gave me...when I get home, I'll investigate.

I would call and ask or look on the envoice, mine is stated on the envoice what spring I have on my tial.

yeah the boost controller will either bleed air going from the charge side of the turbine to the wastegate to raise the boost or will add boost to the top side depending on what setup you are using. The tial wastegates can run either setup. The spring inside the wastegate will determine the lowest psi you can run on the turbo. You can buy different springs from tial that will lower or raise the boost. On the street i run 7.8psi then when i want fun i dial in 12

You could always weld the WG shut...that would give you THE max boost that the turbo can provide
