ok i know this has been asked before but i dont think it has been asked this way.

i wanted to know what a good guess on a 2001 z with 75xxx miles stock, boosted could hold in terms of psi. i have 35lb ford brown tops, walboro 255, adj fmu and fpr. i know this is prolly the most asked question but im really wondering in my case what would be a good guestimate. i know turbos create a lot of extra cylinder pressure on N/A cars and all. but i was just wondering. flame me if need be.

I ran 14psi all season on a LD9 with about 60,000 miles on it before boost.

Motor ran great.

the amount of boost also depends on the size of the turbo. Different cfm's at the same psi

True

Also, how much your motor can handle also depends on how you tune it.

Brandson - very true! Except I'm running a bigger turbo than 90% of the .org.... so it was quite a chunk of power it was taking on.

Liar, you have a long piece of tubing that you blow into when you want to BOOOST it

CFM > PSI

You have an '01 so I would sweet-talk your dealership into giving you the supercharger reflash....many have had great luck with turbos on the reflash...Running high psi's very well.

I had the reflash on my first tubro kit, it ran a little bit lean because too much cfm, but nothing an adjustable rising rate FPR cant take care of,

and if getting the reflash put the injectors in, drive to the dealership, get it reflashed then pop in the new map, then it's only the price of getting a scan so like 29.95 or something,

cheers,
