so......................has anyone been able to measure the intake temps yet for the 2.8, 7, 6 pullies yet?
my curiosity (and im sure plenty of others on here) remains if i can safely use the 2.7 pulley w/o any additional mods ..... its not like i'd run the full 7 psi all day anyway, just rarely i'd give it a spike.....

i imagine your IAT's will be slightly higher, but not too bad. That's where you start getting into things like alky injection, which I highly recommend.
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
I am running the 2.6" pulley dialy now with no alcohol injection (its waiting to be put back in once the throttle body plate gets here)
I was just to lazy to switch it back to the 2.8" pulley i have when i took the alcohol kit out to get fixed... and its been running fine... i do feel less power after a while with the computer turning down the timing and heat soak but its not all bad... you should be fine though...

silver car - 305whp 315lbs.tq @15psi (91 Octane) or 420whp & 425lbs.TQ @20psi (94 octane+Alcohol Injection)
All dynos run on a Mustang dyno
it will be high as the gm s/c pulls timing pretty bad.
i seen on turbo cars upwards around 1600 degrees.
1600 degrees for intake temps?? LOL

oo damn.
i thought we were talking exhaust temps.
(standing behind /working on a turbo z24 with no cat running rich last night doesnt help)
i am sure around 200 degrees at least!
Well I finally got my scantool today....So i just drove around and beat on the car a little and my highest intake temp with the alky and 2.6 pulley was 132............I'll post back when I have more info without the alky kit

ELIOT. Now.....boosted.
bobby, i been out of town for a few days and probably will be for another week, but what you should do is put on the 2.7 and drive it around for a day w/ alky off, and then w/ alky on
i'll make it up to ya i promise!

Ok so I put the 2.7 back on...man I feel slow now lol......ANyways....I drove home from work with the scan tool on and it was about 80 degrees out today...At least it felt like it...and very humid...
I started out with 84 degrees intake temp. I drove it normally half way home and the highest my temps went was 120. Then I started getting into town...and started beating on the car a little more. Highest temp I saw was 156. Now it may of gotten hotter if I had to drive further. So once I saw the 156 I turned the alky on......After that I never saw higher than 140.....
Now maybe had I driven around longer I would of seen hotter intake temps...but I didn't feel like driving around for no reason......
Oh and also...my a/f's were in the high 11s with the 2.7. My timing advance ranged from like 20-26 according to the scan tool and that was at WOT so anyone care to explain to me if thats good or bad then be my guest
Now when I switch back to my 2.6 pulley then I'll do the same thing and get all the info.....but I hope this helps somewhat to you all!

Yea I'm gonna test out the 2.6 next.....THen swap injectors and see what a difference they really make if any
Viper- Its not my fault I wanted to buy the pulleys! Besides...as long as I'm faster than you I'm happy
haha
