OK so remember me I blew the motor earlier this year well taduh finially the motor is nearing completion here are some pics and stats:
^^ Looky at them pistons, 8.5:1 compression
Nuts and bolts, nuts and bolts, we got SCREWED... hmm are all these left overs a good thing? LOL...
God I love the HO manifold. Now for what you see...
Eagle ESP H beam connection rods
Wiseco 8.5:1 compression pistons, .040 oversize
Clevite bearings all around
Every essential bolt is ARP (head, main, flywheel)
Comex multi layer head gasket
SS oversized valves with 3 angle valve job, 5 is too much for me
secret cams, HO have too much durration for boost, but I would kill for that lift...
HO intake manifold
Ported and polished head
AWAY with the damn ballance shafts, and good ridance
Fidanza aluminum flywheel
Lightened crank pully, no AC anymore (leaked out before the build anyway)
SPEC stage 3 clutch, with that nifty hydrolic throwout bearing, still gotta bolt that thing up
everything ballanced, blueprinted
head and block milled compression should be around 8.6-8.9:1
umm and better motor mounts
What you do not see is the Exploited manifold, Tial 38mm external waistegate, Walboro 255lph, 52# injectors and MFPR. Still need to buy the GT30R, intercooler and Megasquirt, but christmas broke me.
Plans: Break in motor, install megasquirt and figure out wtf I am doing with it on N/A motor, then bolt on some turbo goodness and boost the hell out of it!!
What you guys think 8 months after my post about the wierd knocking noise lol.

ohh yea the old bearing for anyone who forgot what oil can do when it dissappears from your motor at 120mph
and the beautyful exploited mani, god I love to show it off
GOGO I NEED COMENTS NOW!!!

Looks like a hot project

JDM Civic Hatch
Status: Parting Out Turbo Kit....
14.224 @ 102.01MPH @ 5.5psi.... 2.3 60'
Next: Civic JDM B16a2 w/GSR LSD Turbo - Goal 300whp 1400lbs...
gonna be a tight fit with a gt30R on that manifold... my 60-1 is a real tight fit as it is. But nice lookin engine. mine outta be done soon as well. maybe by then a decent management system will come out O_O

The concept of that makes me want to hump a lot of things! haha
14.330 @ 96.37mph
Looks like fun but you're definitely wrong on the duration of the HO cams being too much for boost. You would of been better off and much happier if you did go through with the conversion.
The most important thing is that you did the 2.3 oil pump conversion. Myself and others would of had to of reamed your ass if you put all that money into your engine and neglected the very thing that destroyed your engine in the first place.
Oh and the concept of 20-25psi will remain a concept unless LT1cavy has a transmission and axles that are bulletproof as well.
Nice boost build dude.
I will NEVER change my sig. HTML 4 EVA!!

What is this "transmission" and "axels" that you speak of? And will it let me get to 30 psi?
hmm no seriously I have been ignoring that slight problem, but I figure if I am nice to them, maybe they will last a year, then I can get the better axels and a quafe diff, and dunno about the internals. I will shoot that bird when it gets a bit closer... or I get another raise...

First of all, you will not be able to boost past 12PSI is your piston walls are thinner than .180", .040" over! Damn, what did you set your piston to wall clearance at?
Other than that, just a good management system like a FAST or AEM.
Don't worry about the tranny and axles until you break them, first things first..
Nice setup. I rather like building Black's LD9. Cant wait to tear into NJHK's (Adam's) Eco.

Hopefully it'll be very soon.

Well .040 over wan't so much that I needed to sleeve the block, so why would I need to worry about more than 12psi? I highly doubt that I am the first person here to bore that far (in my opinion that isn't very far, but then again this isn't a small block) and boost a lot. As long as I keep combustion temps down and tune right I do not see a problem with my clearances. Please let me know if I am wrong though.

um... that's no LT1. That looks like an LD9
