Also Casper, off topic...

You might want to fix your sig before you get a warning...I believe it's too big.

Okay to move your turbo set up from one car to the other USE COMMON SENSE.... I've though about doing this MULTIPLE times..............

new injectors - Sometimes you can use the same ones..................
new AFPR - if you had one
new manifold - NEVER use the same ones.................
new charge piping
new downpipe

all the Labour to switch over wiring (SAFC)... or anything of that nature.........

new oil in the new motor........
Gotta RETAP the oil pan on the new car for the return..............
gotta get it RETUNED.........................

but you can USE

The turbo
The BOV
The Intercooler
The Charge piping Couplers
The FMU/ SAFC
SOME of the charge piping might be salvagable.....
POSSIBLY..... the oil feed line (new fittings might be in order)
the return is okay to reuse...................

Anything else ??? I just woke up ??

wtf..........the heads are the same

he wants to go from ecotec 2.2 to ecotec 2.4
the physical bolt pattern is the same.

IT WILL SWAP OVER.......its basically the same engine but everythign will physically bolt onto the 2.4 ecotec

not the 2.4 twin cam

he did not say 2.2 ecotec. then again, i was sleepy when i read this for the first time. all i saw was 2.2 to 2.4 and i completely disregarded the ecotecs either way.

In all honesty, i'm here for entertainment. Some times if i know a answer to someones question i'll answer it, some of the time i don't bother. I read post almost daily where people are telling other wrong info, sometimes i think its funny.

BTW, i never said "these are all the wrong answers".

Here is the simple truth.......

NO ONE THAT HAS PUT UP ANY ANSWERS TO THE QUESTION IN THE POST HAS EVER DONE IT. So none of them really know anything about it for sure.

To take it one step further, I seriously doubt any of the people answering this have ever even actually stood in front of a real 2.4 Eco installed in a car, yet somehow they seem to think they accurately know the answer.

What would truly be helpful here is a reason for your answer.
Instead of only it fits or it doesn't fit, you could explain what you based your opinion on.

Some simple evidence could work. Examples--- Do they both use the same head to manifold gasket? Do they use the same Exhaust Manifold on both engines in the same vehicle?
