I haven't been able to find any companies that make tubular/equal length manifolds for the LD9 no matter how hard I search and I'm really trying to get away from a log manifold to help spool since I'm going to be running a GT30R on the project I'm working on.
I tried contacting Neukin (Import Turbo Parts Company), and spoke with a guy named Alex, I believe, and he said that his uncle/cousin has a 2.4 Sunfire they were trying to get rid of and that he would get a hold of it and see if they could get a manifold made for me since they do custom orders. We sent 6-7 e-mails back and forth and then one day he just quit replying to my messages. Thought I was actually getting somewhere too
I also contacted Custom Tubes Inc. about Johnny Mack's old 2.4 turbo manifolds and they were asking something like $1150 for just the turbo manifold. The only company I could see myself giving that much money for a turbo manifold is Full-Race, and they don't make products for our cars, although I'm sure they could.
Anyone have any ideas?
Contact Tony at CNFX. He has a tubular turbo header on his 2.4 Z24. Not sure on the pricing, but I'd be willing to bet it's not $1150. And they do HIGH QUALITY work. His Z24 put out 330 whp on a rough tune on 14 psi. CNFX's phone number is
(610)266-1900. Or you can e-mail him at contactus@cnfxperformance.com
CC-FAB will soon be coming out with a new design for the J motors. Email us or check out the site www.cc-fab.net.
Blew it up
We made one and and can make another. We didnt re-produce it because it didnt look like anyone was interested in it. You can email me or instant message me if your interested. We're also going to be making a turbo header for the ecotec soon.

I have some flanges and piping on the way, I can have you one made within the next two weeks, let me know. It would be around 400. What kinda external wastgate do you have?
I e-mailed CNFX this morning, and I would also like to see what kind of manifold CC-Fab comes out with. I would like to get a top mount manifold for sure, but I'm going to assess all my options first.
I'm running a Tial 44mm, 1.0 bar spring
a top mount was one design i am heavily considering,
if the interest is there, i will indeed spend some time fabbing one.
I would definately be interested in seeing one. I would like to have the CNFX, but one thing I'm not fond of is how small the pipes are on the turbo manifold. I need to flow all the air I can to get this dude going.
Get some info done on it so I can make a decision. Also, pricing with a t3 flange and 44mm external wastegate flange would be good to
Whats your hp goal for the car?
Well, my goal with the car was to outdyno and outperform my 200sx SE-R. I dyno'd a few weeks ago at 407 whp at 18 psi. I'd like to hit in the range of 500-ish range but we'll see.
So, to answer your question, around 500 on race gas.
For a 500 hp car I would use bigger tubing. We didnt make that with 500 hp in mind. I will get a little over 400 out of it but thats about as far as I would go with that header. 1.5" tubing O.D. and 1.5" cast pipe is 1.5" inside diameter which is substantially bigger. We will make a full-race style turbo header next for the 2.4 and eco.
2" primaries?
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
I would like to see some decently sized primaries as I'm trying to make as much power on the lowest boost possible.
I contacted Neukin again about the ramhorn style manifold and I will keep everyone updated with what they say. I was told last time I spoke with them that I shouldn't have to pay more than $650 for the manifold custom made for my car. I was impressed with the price.
What kind of prices are we looking at from CNFX and CCFab?
