Car is BACK on the road (LOTS of pics - 56k nooo)
Sunday, October 23, 2005 7:55 PM
Well after a grand total of 2.5 months of being carless everything seems back in order. Damn its good not to be getting driven around any more lol.

Motor went back in pretty easily, little tugging and moving a bit, but overall it went in without a hitch. Only problem I have right now is I need a new dipstick lol so Im pouring smoke out of my hood until tomorrow when I pick it up... whatever no biggy I suppose.

Car is running great though, vibrating live a mofo with the new control arm and tranny mounts in, but im hoping those subside as they break in. I havent gone over 1/2 throttle yet and havent shifted over 3.5k and even still, the car feels like it is going to pull like a rapeed ape when I do finally open her up. It revs so much quicker, which im assuming to due in part to the flywheel. Speaking of HOLY CRAP the sotck one is heavy compared to this 8.5lb one.

I still need to take a pic of the motor IN the car... I'll add that on when I get to it. We powder coated the timing chain cover and the idi cover black. IT LOOKS SICK!
Anyway, enough babble.... on to the pics!

What the hell is this doing in my engine bay?!? (leftover from stock intake....eww)

This is while we were doing the control arm bushings:

Tranny mount:

Stock vs aftermarket flywheel

Stock vs aftermarket clutch

This is a 'Vette thats in the shop too

I figure 500 miles should do the trick... changing the oil at 100 and @ 500, then back to regular oil changes

or something else ??

I have the stock intake cam and the secret exhaust cam

Yeah as long as a certain companies springs dont crack again we should have no issues. Hell I even ripped the head down fully again just to go over it again to be for certain. Though last time the spring cracked in under 24 hours
