yes brown tops will be fine.... and what he said about the rail...... brown tops are good to around 15 psi....... my buddy has them in his 2.4 turbo..... 300hp....
mmmmm sweetness....... make sure the impedence is the same because they have low impedence brown tops too....

Good luck... and good luck spooling that turbo... its a nice size....

i hope you plan on having head work done. that .50 / .63 combo isn't exactly what i'd recommend. but hey it's your setup. you won't spool it as low as possible without head work. i'd have the compressor housing ported to gain some cfm because you won't get very good high end power out of that turbo.

As far as AFPR use Accel #74566. With the brown tops you will have to worry about impedence issues. If you use green tops you can pull fuel and have room to grow and they are already high impedence.

Maybe re-think that turbo size as others have mentioned. I have a fairly large turbo and I have to really punch it to get into boost. I've had the damn thing on for a week and now I want a smaller one. Oh well.....its fun on the highway, which is 80% of my driving. Good luck!

your good stuff ^^^^^^ I was too lazy to find the accel part # ...
and ya green tops will work.... but you need to find someone selling a set of 4 or go in with someone buying a set of 8 and split them. I want them so let me know,,,, we can do some sort of small 2 person purchase........ 4 each... only be like 150cdn each for the 4 injectors.....
like 300 for 8 ...

Let me know PM me or something I want green tops asap!!!

Those are the right ones. That seller was who I bought a set of four from. They will fit into the rail (03-05 Eco) and the clips also fit fine. You will need to find the Ford style injector harness though and splice it into your existing injector harness. The harness is very easy to find and usually very cheap. The splicing is also very easy. Good luck!

and have you rethought the turbo size issue? i mean... i'll be honest. you're going to be pissed at your turbo for lag most of the time, and that small compressor housing won't give you a top end power that a .63 exhaust is designed for

X2
Turbo lag is not a fun thing. I don't mind because it keeps me from getting my remaining 2 points on my license, and I do a TON of highway driving, so boost is only a stomp away. But for immediate gratification go smaller.

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't the ford injectors fit into all the rails from 97 up... so like 2200 and up ........

I'm not sure about that. I know there are some differences between the '02 Ecos and the 03-05 fuel rails. I never modded my 2200 so I'm not sure about older years.....
I was just saying I can verify that the 42lb'ers fit in the 03-05 because they are running in my car right now.

no. sun cavi is NOT running the same turbo. He is running a .60 compressor / .63 exhaust 57 trim. that is why he is getting 8 psi in 1st gear. you will most likely START building boost at 3500

how about this, Aspect ratio: 42/48 compressor/exhaust A/R
that was the one i was going to get a T3

.63 A/R TURBINE

.57 TRIM

^^^I think you've got the turbine and compressor backwards. I talked to Jasmin a lot while he was first working on the ecotec set-up and from what I remember, the compressor was larger than the turbine. He had issues with the compressor hitting the firewall despite the "low profile" manifold that Brian (exploited) made for him.

ok thanks. he said it will work good for my engine. so i have already bought it about a week ago. blueakron04 what Ford style injector harness are u talking about? what model would this be coming off of? im guessing most likely a mustang.4.6, 5.0

What's up guys.
I have talked to Austins04Cavi, and I am pretty sure that that Turbo will be fine.
Yes, my compressor did hit the firewall but only cause I am running it backwards of what other people are and my compressor housing is in the passanger side.
My Turbo is .63A/R Stage III wheel (56mm) on the turbine and .60A/R on the compressor (58mm).

There are many factors that you have to take into consideration when you pick a Turbo size, like a compressor map. lol
Too bad I did the graph for my motor AFTER I got the Turbo.
If you look at it anything below 3500 RPM is pretty much surging it and trust me you feel it in 5th gear if you are under that RPM, and you wanna stay away from that.

Even tho it will start spooling at 3000 it is not recomended for someone to do this, but you are better off downshifting.
This big of a Turbo gives you only about 64% efficency up to 8-9 psi, and if you don't wanna go higher than that then yes it is a poor choice.
I felt what 76% efficiency feels like going from 9-12psi and 12-19 or so would be its sweet spot of 84% efficiency which I have yet to experience.

Now most likely the numbers that you get at 8 psi are going to be lower than of a smaller Turbo but don't get your hopes down, build the motor and then you can get the best of it.
The Turbo that YOU have bought is a long term investment if you know what I mean.

The injector harness I'm talking about is just a Ford harness that plugs into the older style injectors (bosch/ford). I'm not sure what model my harness came from unfortunately. They had a couple laying around at a mechanic's shop I have went to ever since I started driving and I just tried the injectors on it to see if it fit. Sorry I don't have any better info that just trial and error.

Suncavi, I definately agree on the long term investment ideal, but I wanted to make sure he knew that it would take a bit to build substantial boost with that large of a turbo. I am in no way telling him not to get a larger one.....as mine is similiar to yours (.63/.60). My experiences might be off a little anyways due to some bad exhaust leaks right before the turbo creating more lag. I know some people put a turbo on their car and expect to be thown into the back seat instantly and then are upset because of how long it takes to build boost.

the brown tops will work if you put a resistor on the negative side of the injector it will take care of the inpedance issue --- i have 4 with the clips if you want them i will let them go for pretty cheap email if you are interested
