i hear duct tape works great too.

that was a joke. i would recommend some type of aluminum or steel bracket. now, it takes a GOOD welding shop to weld aluminum, especially an intercooler. make sure you get things figured out and have some sort of markings done before you weld anything in place.

man it's so easy.. my welder was broken when I did mine... I took off the front bumper took off the rebar (first I marked my location and such) bought 2 pieces of like 1/2" square weldable tubing measured up and took it to the local midas and had them weld it.. they did it for Free..... then I took it home spray painted the rebar and the brackets black and put the rebar back on installed the intercooler and felt so special to be driving around with no turbo but a fully mounted intercooler... only did for a couple days till I installed the rest of the stuff... but I like the looks I was getting..

have fun

we did that with our sedan, before we upgraded to a greddy fmic. we were running a 2g DSM SMIC. And we got it hooked up, fabricated charge piping, and stick a filter on one end of the intercooler, and the other end went up to the TB. It was slow as piss but we got some laughs when we pulled up to a car meet with a front mounted intercooled cold air intake.

if you plan on relacing the rebar with somethign else like the brackets then your all set, but a 9 inch tall intercooler will require you to cut about 3 inches of rebar out otherwise itll hang down about 3 inches below your pumper, which not only looks gay, but alspo picks up road debris and is the first thing to kiss a speedbump and an entrance to many parking lots
