Ok I recently purchased a turbo from one of my local tuner shops. I found it today its not what I ordered by one of the workers there that does all the company's turbo cars. He said its a stage 3 for a eclipse. Its a t3/t4 with a .70 compressor wheel. I am wondering if this still worth putting on my 2001 2.4L? He said in first gear I would see little to no boost but after that it would be taking full affect. And then i told him how I my original setup was going to be using a super 60 turbo and then running the gm reflash and 2 bar map sensor with the 310cc injectors. He said don't do that just get myself a inline fuel pump and a fmu and run my injectors and it will run just fine. So does this all sound reasonable to you guys and do you think this turbo is worth running or should I ask for a different one. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

well .70 a/r on the compressor is a little large. He is right, you wont see all too much boost in first gear but you HP per lb of boost is going to be higher. What size is the exhaust side?
Deffinately go with the reflash if you can. It is a much more reliable methode than what he told you to do.

I am not sure on the exhaust side. The plan is to run 7 pounds of boost though. My goal is to get a mid or lower 13 second car. Do you think i should tell them I want them to get me the turbo I originally ordered?

Get the reflash. It will read boost and correct the AF ratio so you don't really have to dyno the car.
.70 compressor is NOT too big. It all depend on the turbine side. If the turbine side is small enough, you'll see boost on 1st gear. I see boost on 1st gear with my T3/T04E turbo. I have a .70 compressor with a .48 turbine.

Do you think I would be better off just telling them to get me the T3 super 60 and then run the reflash program and other stuff I was planning? Or just stick with this setup?

it all depend on when you want boost and how much POWER you want to make. remember, PSI does not equal HP. CFM will change how much power you make per PSI. If you want to run low boost and get high Hp, get the hybrid. If you want high Psi and low Hp, get the T3 super 60.
It could be nice to say you're running 10 psi with a super 60 but when a guy with a T3/T04E come beside you and is running 7psi and making the same Hp, you see that PSI doesn't mean anything other than pressure.

Get the super 60. Remind the guy that you're not running a DSM while you're there...

I vote for being too big on a stock engine.
I concur. You're flowing just a few more CFM's there Chris lol

I got a .63 A/R and 60 compressor and I see about 8 psi in 1st.
2nd I see my full boost of 12 psi and 3rd the same.
and in 4th it creeps up to about 13 psi.
You are gonna love it.
On slicks there is more resistance that tires put on the motor so I see my full boost in 1st, I LOVE IT!!!!
You should be fine,.
