Well let me just say this might be a huge fight, but for most of us we can say stock we do about the 7-10 psi on the 2.4. With that said I've know some of us have done it safely with tunning, but what are the psi range where you need to start getting more. I want to run 15 psi daily. So I don't want to over buy, or not under buy so please let me know. planing on 9 to 1.
trey, i would say anything after 10psi you need to start getting rods and pistons, unless you have a PERFECT tune, which would be very hard to get.

Yeah pretty much or you'll be losing rods & pistons
Just take your time and find a nice tune. Everything people will say here is just what they've been told, nobody realy knows for sure. Care to be the first?

For any build there are two parts to the recipe, and the first part is always the same:
Tear down
reman, regrind crank and block
new bearings (clevite 77... nothing else worth it)
forged rods
forged pistons
nitrided pins and rings
ARP rod, main, and head bolts (anything else you're wasting your time)
remaned head casting
port job
new vavle train (nitride all parts if possible)
------------------------------------------------------------
From here you can do anything.... boost, N2O, or both. You can even go as extreme as to spray enough nitrous to more than triple the factory output. With the right base (listed above) and proper tuning, you can make as much power as the block can handel.
what company make the forged rods and pistons for our cars ? or are they generic sizing ? i havent seen a website that sell anything of the internal parts. can any one direct me to a site that sell all this. if im going to spend all this money to put a turbo on my car might of well just do it right 18 psi at least. hurmmm .. oo and when are we going to be able to run 880cc injectors ? have they made the ecu upgrade chip ? i havent heard of it in a while ?
eh just go to the junkyard and find a cavy motor, drop it in, bolt up turbo, and run 20 psi. you'll get really good at pulling motors lol.
disclaimer: do not do this. honda guys can get away with this sometimes because you can get a SOHC D series motor for $75. lol
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
