How many miles on your 2200's when you boosted? If I plan on boosting i have 87000 miles on my motor and dont know how well stock internals will hild up. I know i need to upgrade fuel systems and what not but want to know if my motor will hold up or not so i dont waste my money.
well i have an eco started boosting it at 72,000 im at 80 now so far so good

i have a 99 2200, i started at ~60,000, and im at around 11 psi and 62,000 miles. Havent had any bottom end problems yet (knock on wood) but i've always just expected something to break, it makes it easier to expect it and be prepared for it.
so would it be kinda of a mess if i boosted after the winter in the 90K mile range?
you can boost if you keep it low. at 6 psi with fmu and injector mods, you should be ok. But again it all depends on your engine condition, if you think the engine is not really reliable at this point, consider change the engine or be prepared to break the engine. If the engine is in good condition, go for it but don't quote me on this.
mine was 56000 miles boosted till 75000 no problem.
140k then i blew my piston at 142k at 15psi, It was well worth it now putting in a 94 w/ 38k
I had a lil over 30K on mine.....Im now at almost 80K.....low boost is at 7psi, high boost at 12......stock bottom end with no problems......tuning is the key.....

I hade 100,000 on my 2200 when i did mine. Im up to about 100,700 now and no problems soo far.
I have 135000 km on my car then I started boostin.... It's holding up fine....

put the supercharger on at 32K..... its got 94K now....

Im thinking im going to use my brothers parts from his DSM. He just blew his motor. I know i will probably rebuild the turbo( or have it rebuilt) so if i want to keep my stock bottom end, i would need the manifold, FMU, Fuel Pump probably? Do i have to have some sort of an intercooler correct? and as far as an FPR, would i need an adjustable one or not? I saw the list in the FAQ on what i would need to boost but am still a little curious as to what i really need to boost it and boost it right. Im trying to figure out what parts i can use from his car on mine. Or can i just use the turbo and thats it?
And can i use my stock injectors or would it be a good idea to upgrade. like i said i would be under 6 psi or so and im wondering what i would need to run boost.
There was right around 3,000 miles on my 2.2 ohv when I put the turbo kit on.

i had 109k on my tired 2200 when i put the supercharger kit on 8psi
the internals took it excellent. the only problem came when the shaft on the supercharger broke.....

i had 46k some on my 2.4, now at 63k something lol.....no REAL problems cept the stupid reflash not working right lol.....

put my supercharger on at 63k on my 2.4 and i have 64k now and my lifters are loose and keep tapping....of course the nitrous isnt helping the problem any so that is most likely why the lifters are going out. everything else is perfect
JBP lifters should arrive today actually.

168,000 miles, turbo installation will hopefully be nearing completion next week sometime. Will be running a *MAX* of 8psi.
I've never had any internal problems, and my compression tests yield 210psi from all four cylinders.
Manifold is bolted on, turbo is bolted on, piping is run, intercooler is mounted, gauges are installed, A/C eliminator pulley was installed last night, fuel rail was taken off last night for installation of the brand new 35# injectors. Other parts I have awaiting install are the Walbro 255lph in-tank pump, Accel AFPR, fuel pressure gauge, and a couple other little goodies. I still need to buy my AFMU and BOV. I also need little things like exhaust flange, O2 sensor bung, and a couple of silicone couplings. Oil feed/return kit is on its way, should be here Monday or Tuesday. All I can say is, "HURRY UP, UPS MAN!"
Will let you guys know once it's installed how everything goes. All I can do is hope for the best. Wish me luck.
the 2200 should hold alot longer if you replace the pistons and rods correct?

All i can say is dont hurry ups man. take it easy adn slow, id be excited too but dont rush it.

so to answer your question YES you NEED that stuff..... Start parting a kit together yourself !!
