GM SC Reflash Question
Wednesday, September 07, 2005 7:02 AM
I was wondering if you have other mods done such as throttle body, P&P, header, exhaust, cams, etc...does the reflash for the GM SC take those items in account? Basically is this a "standard application, one size fits all" reflash, or do they actually work your reflash based on your specific enigine readings when tuning the SC?

Also, I have an Ecotec so I know the answer may be unkown for that application, but guess just wondering if those running the 2.4 GM SC and have other mods, specifially the head and cams, did it fix your problems such as check engine light, running rich and not getting the HP expected out of such mods?

May have to wait on the HP Tuners software to actually get results from mods like P&P and cams, but I know lots of folks are having issues with cams specifially. So wondering if they tune your enigine or is it a standard reflash and if you had a check engine light or running really rich from cams and such, then you still will be!

Thanks!

Eh...old man with a Corvette now...it was bound to happen sooner rather than later right?

The reflash for the LD9 doesn't take anything else into account. It's a standard program meant for a stock engine with the S/C on it.

Any further mods you add are handled just like they are for an NA car with no reflash. The computer can account for some things based on sensor input but not all.
