OK. So, my question is, for this specific arrangement,
Tank)Water/Alcohol Injection Kit + Tank, do I need to weld the injector into the pipe, or does it screw in? Im so siked about getting this, cant wait to get it on next weekend. then comes the smaller pulley lol.......but if anyone can tell me, thanks in advance

no u dont have to weld it.

just drill a hole and put it in.

if u want a angle injector, run to home depot and go look in their brass fitting sections and take a picture of the coolingmist.com's angled injector and save yourself a bunch of money.

i put my tank and pump in the trunk, works fine. i ran my line threw the inside of the car along the side panel /kick panel/ big plasitic peice by the door

also u will probably want a on/off switch. it their diagram it tells you how to wire it in. or on his site.

i picked up a little more wire for the kit, as i needed it and i wanted to have more wire for future use.

i mixed the yellow bottle of heet stuff with some distilled water, that seems like the best.

just take your time installing it and read the directions.

what this stuff your mixing with water? did it come with your kit?
I am wondering what to put in mine.. I have an SMC kit and he said water or windshield fluid is fine.. but i don't know how good the windshield stuff is for the car... I do have pure methanol since my dad uses it in his car too but he only lets me use it some times.

cool, would i be able to get the heet stuff at the local auto parts place, or is a special order type of thing??

also, on another note

i will be purchasing the 8 psi pulley soon [within 2 months], do i need to machine the nose drive? and if so, could someone explain this in detail for me. im an idiot, i know. ill save this for later use.

also, would i absolutley need any other fuel mods other than the gm injectors for the 8psi pulley? like ABSOLUTLEY need any? and one more thing, thanks for all your help guys.

something else......with the 2.6" pulley, will it be louder?

I fit the 2.6" pulley on no problems and no grinding of any thing and it was from pulley boys.. it was the M-90 or GTP pulley but they made a deal with me and i sent them my stock pulley so now if you ask they can make you some 5rib pulleys that are for our M-45 s/c, instead of the 6rib GTP ones.. Because with the extra rib it gets very close to the bracing on the snout of the s/c'er.... let me know if you want more info/the email of the guy i dealt with at pulley boys. email me if you do and ill gladly send you all the info you need.

you sure about that? why not get a boost switch. i think your set up with that NA kit will shut off when it sees boost. just get the right stuff, it probably is the same price.

chance;s are that your car will bog out. that kit is designed to start spraying in the higher RPM'S where u need the cooling effect the most.

u need the boost switch. the one he ships u will comes on at 10psi, so u will need to adjust it down.

Quick question, clockwise (Raising it) makes it spray at a lower boost psi ? And then if you turn it clockwise (tighten it) it will spray at a hight psi correct? Thanks.

ok, well its installed, but how would i tell if the pump is coming on w/o an led?

and if you cant, then tell me how far up to adjust the boost switch thingy. i took it out by mistake, and now the spring thingy is loose inside unless i tighten it down to where it came. i took it out, and put it back in with about 2-3 full clockwise turns. where should that be on the boost?? i think it might be coming on, can you hear the pump when it starts? and i have a 2.5 quart bottle filled about half with water, about how many miles before i notice it go down?

In another post I read from someone they just took the line going into their injector and moved up to the windsheild by the wiper. Than they took the car out for a drive. Once you hit boost and the pump is activated you should see the fluid coming out of the line that you moved to the windshield. As long as you have a boost gauge you can use that method to adjust when it comes on and verify that it is actually coming on.

^ ya that was me.

i just ran the hose with no injector/check vavle on it under the wiper and drove around and hit boost and you can obviously see it spray.

there is another method of making something that will make the switch see boost, like compressed air and some brass/barb air hose fittings and a gauge.

i didnt feel like building anything, so i did the tube under the wiper and drive around method.
