Fuel lines

for my fuel setup, i'm adding 4 extra injectors, 1 for each runner on the HO intake manifold on my 2.4. what i'll be doing is runing a tee off the feed line (one end to the stock rail, one end to the extra rail) and then also a tee to the return line (both rails return lines feed into the tee). 2 questions.... what size is the stock fuel line? and what type of fittings would be best to use to hook up the stock line to the tee's? if anyone has any pics, they would help out a lot

Why not just pick up a set of brown tops? Sounds like it would be 1000 times easier...

might be...but i already have everything for this to work...just wondering what to use to connect everything and the stock line's size. once i have that info, everything should go together as planned. i remember seeing a pic of a 2.4 with a fuel pressure gauge connected to the fuel feed line with some AN fittings. cant find the pic again but something like that would help me out a lot.

I think the feed line is 5/8,and the return line is 5/16.But id go with the brown tops like shifted said.Thats what i got and my car runs rich at 6-8 psi.

no the inlet line is 3/8" not 5/8" (that would be too big)

and the return line is 5/16"

also I dont think you would need more then 1 return line (the stock return line) IMO.

If you let them run at stock fuel pressure, the FPR should return all excess fuel, correct?

they are only on when you're in boost anyway..

right....the return lines from both rails feed into the one stock return line. or are you saying that the additional rail wouldnt need a return line? in that case, wouldnt the extra injectors get too much pressure?

I thought that if you put a t fitting into your inlet line it will feed your extra injectors, and any excess fuel will be returned back to the tank via the stock return line.

the FPR will keep the entire system at 43psi or static pressure.

remember the fuel pump all the way back in the tank see's that 43psi too.

I dont think you will need a second return line for your extra injectors.

thats right....i didnt even think about that. well that makes things a little easier for me! so what size and style AN fittings would I need to attach to the stock lines? or would it be something else besides AN fittings?

wont be AN fittings, it will be 3/8" barbed fittings.

I would recommend the barbed to any other style, they grab a hell of a lot better.

And will hold 43PSI. (I know this, because I checked)

I dont know where you live, but I got my stuff from princess auto (yep, I did)
