Well, I just thought I would inform the people of Canada that the GM supercharger kit for the eco cav/fire is $5300 CAN....and $600 CAN for install. So call it $6000 CAN. Awful expensive for such a kit. Considering the 2005 cavs/fires are still going for $10,000 bucks here (in alberta at least).
dude i have no idea what the exchange rate is but that seems way high i'm seeing a price of around 2200.00 to 2500.00 us no idea what install price is but i would look around a little for a different seller sounds to me like this one is really sticking you.

If you're foolish enough to pay a dealer to install it, you don't deserve a break on the price.
There's no shortage whatsoever of people who'd be willing to help install one of those kits.
yah umm i will order mine through gmpd and pick it up at the border if its 5300 for some odd reason that sounds best to me, road trip
Where did you get this price from? Was it GM themselves or somewhere else?
i called my dealership. Ask for the parts department. Gave the guy the part number. And he gave me a price.
It does seem seriously expensive. BUT i think the isntall price is quite good IIMHO
$600 CAD to bolt up a glorified intake manifold is a good price to you?

WELL.... i suppose i wasnt to clear on my install statement. In Canada, we dont have a warranty protection law like you guys in the USA do. SO, If you didnt have the dealership install that kit, you could pretty much kiss ALL your warranty good bye. I have read somewhere that kit comes with 1 year warranty. But I can gurantee you they would screw you over if it wasnt installed by them. SO, for 600 bucks... it isnt too too bad to keep your warranty.
I called a washington dealerhsip, since my parents live 10 min from Washington, and the guy quoted me $3300 US for that kit.
I am asking people for this part number 17800003 . Could this be the wrong part number?
One bonus, the last dealership i called (in canda) said he would knock the price down to $4600CAN instead of $5300CAN. So at least i know they can budge in their price.

it would be nice to have a zero headache boosted eco though... but the rewards of a custom turbo setup would be ALOT greater

Yea i was hyper and bored... but yea im referring to the RSM kit... ive had people ask me if it was a option on the car before, then others ask if it is the GM kit.
I one of 2 things happen when people see the RSM kit
1. They are clueless about cars, think they know alot about them, so just start asking things that they have heard other people talk about to sound smarter.
Or 2. This kit just looks sexy under the hood.

I asked my local dealership about the part number: 17800003 and they said it didn't even register/appear. Maybe i'm just stuck with going Turbo.
no thats the right number its still listed as a future part. so yes you can order it but when youll get is is anybodies guess. and remember most dealerships have a no return policy for special ordered parts so you could order it pay for not see it for a year
yet and you cant get your money back cause its special order.

My dealership must be screwed up then, cuz the guy said that it doesn't even show up. I'll just go Turbo, this whole S/C thing is getting annoying for me lol.

then just call another dealer in the area.... not unless you live in b.f.e. then it could be a problem but hopefully not.
