So its looking like I'm going to get a SICK deal on a CobaltSS G85 and trading in the Cavy. I want to remove the GM supercharger, kit 330cc injectors, Gen II map sensor ect..., but I don't know how it will run without those parts being that it has the GM reflash?? Anyone tried it yet? If I can do it most of the kit will be up for sale CHEAP!

You should be fine, you can always have the dealer flash the ECU back too if you wanted, which would be pretty cheap.

YUP they charged me $80 at my dealer for the reflash when I installed the kit. Scumbags were all pissed off cause I had to instruct them on what and how to do it. I just dont want to waste 2-3 hours returning it back to semi stock then come to find out that it wont work. I would imagine if it did I would run very rich.

i thought there was someone on here who tried and it wouldnt work. That they couldnt reflash it back to normal. I doubt they even have a reflash to turn it back to normal. I mean do you really think a dealer would need that? THats something that like a whole 5 people would need. Also the same guy said the car didnt run right with the reflash and no charger. If i were you, i would try and sell the ECU+a trade for a stock 00-02 ECU. Im sure theres some guy with a turbo who would like it. Just gotta write down the milage first.

you should be able to run it without problems, but you would have to leave the 2bar map in it. it you put the stock map back in it will def not run right.

if you take all that of the car wont run right , the map sensor values will be different , and will cause problems

also the s/c program is set for the larger injectors , and that will cause it to run messed up also

you will need to have it reflashed back to stock

take everything but the 2bar map off, drive it nicely to the dealer get it flashed back to stock, put stock map back on and it will be normal again. it might not run the best until you get it reflashed but it will run, just be easy on it.
or trade someone on here for a stock computer plus cash, there are lots of people looking for flashed computers....

I had mine reflashed back to stock, they had to call to get the stock 2.4l reflash info, but it was done.

Price? Depends on who you talk to. To have it reflashed I paid $85, to have it reflashed back to stock, the guy was awesome and only charged $50.

tell you what, cut me a deal on the s/c, and I'll send you a stock flashed PCM....... and any stock parts you need for your cav.....

You can drive it on just the stock MAP, and injectors...... with the reflash....... runs just fine. (just ask Smokey..... since he drove all the way home with it.... )

Thought about posting that, but didn't want a poo-fest from it.

Drove 200 some miles back home with the reflash, stock injectors, stock MAP even, and ran fine. Was a lot richer, but nothing my SAFC couldn't handle .

Why it works? Hell if I know, I kept bugging Brian about it not being the actual reflash. But it sure is, just found out tonight

O noes!
