Sorry to ask such a dumb question but I got $3200 together to buy Haas turbo kit but it looks like no one makes a good one ne more...any ideas/ places to go?
I prefer Cavi Connection though I haven't bought from them, but they show very good reputation on the forum.
With 3200 to spend you could piece together your own kit, install it and have the turbo setup and the knowledge to maintain it.
So far I have:
SAFC2, 1g DSM BOV, Garrett/Turbonetics t3/t4,oil lines/fittings, internal wastegate, gaskets, 3 gauge pod(a-pillar), JRC intercooler and I have spent about 1000 dollars.
Use: Ebay, Johnny Racecar, Blaast Performance, Lo-tek and shop around. Good luck!
Thanks Firewolf23. Cavalier Connection is not YET offering an Ecotec turbo kit – BUT, we’re just 60-90 days away from doing so. Our commitment to the J-body market is to NEVER claim to have a kit that fits ‘X’ model or ‘Y’ engine/transmission combination until: a) We've installed it ourselves on a daily-driven company car; b) At least two customers have installed it on their cars as a check of fit, function, ease of installation and accuracy of instructions; c) It's been properly tuned and we have daily driving experience, dyno results and track times as concrete proof of performance; and d) Our manufacturers of custom piping (which is every piece) have demonstrated the ability to deliver consistent quality on a timely basis.
We’re within days or a couple of weeks at most of being to that point on our 2.2L OHV turbo and intercooler kit:

We’re within just a week or so of being there on the 2.4L DOHC kit (the intercooler piping for the 2.4L kit has been developed & tested and is with a manufacturer now for Jig and mandrel program set-up):

Each kit is also installed now on multiple customer cars – both automatic and 5-speed – and different year ranges - so we could be CERTAIN they fit what we say they will. These customers could also attest to the kind of after-the-sale support we provide. We know we’ve frustrated people who have tried to buy things from us before we’re ready to release them – and even one who’s been waiting way too long now for his 2.4L kit, but we refuse to let a product out the door until it’s 100% right.
We do NOT sell DIY kits - only true BOLT-ON kits, meaning: EVERYTHING for a turn-key installation is included; it comes with full instructions; it’s installable in a weekend’s time by one person using tools everyone should have at their disposal; NO welding is required; and NO hacking up the car is necessary.
We believe the best contribution we can make to the J-body market is offering performance items that are not necessarily available today – such as turn-key 2.2L and 2.4L turbo kits, and Cometic MLS head gaskets for the 2.2L and 2.4L for starters . . . with plans for ported heads and a line of cams in the near future. We'll remain focused EXCLUSIVELY on J-bodies (and soon the Cobalt) and are in this for the long haul.
We just bought an Ecotec shop car which will be here later this month. As with all our kits, we start by developing the kit on the engine stand, then in the car. The Ecotec engine stand turbo kit work is well underway and we’re waiting on the shop car arrival to do in-car fitment testing in our shop.

We appreciate your patience with us – doing things right takes time but is usually worth the wait! We try not to spend too much time on the board here, but will provide updates like this when we can. Thanks - Leo
Haas was not a great setup
The cavalier extreme and cavy connection stuff looks like a good alternative to the Hahn kits, I like all 3 of them though
1989 Turbo Trans Am #82, 2007 Cobalt SS G85
so dont get hahn is not for autos then? Does anyone know the price on the stage two for them, i have asked them but the price they gave me is wrong. who thinks i should buy a used kit on the classifieds? or if anyone would like to try to find me the rest of the parts i need to finsh a kit ill do that to... i have the turbo, ex wastgate, boost controller, axels, and i have $2000 left 2 finish....should i sell them, or what?
i talked to hahn today and they said the auto can only hold 225hp/tq, is that true?
hmmm that may be true for the 3spd autos without doing what Event did to his
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
