Dissapointing day at the track :(

I dont know why but saturday just wasnt my day. I think it was the blistering heat.

First run 14.99 (ouch), second run 15.15 (OUCH!!!!) And my 3rd run happened as the air was starting to cool, and my s/c had time to cool for about an hour, i ran a 14.8.

Yea i was an idiot and ran cam 2 (110 octane leaded) My cat is hollowed out so i figured i would try it. I think the cam 2 killed my top end.

Ok, so when i ran a 14.6 i hit 95mph with a 60 foot of 2.19

On sat i was hitting 60 foot's of 2.10! But i could only get 92mph!!!!

Im like, with that king of 60 foot i should be running low 14s if i could get my trap speed back.

This is also with smaller than stock AO32R tires.

Next time im going to try running on my 225/45/17's for the first time, and run 93 octane gas.

I was pissed.

not bad the one time i attempted to run mine a few days after getting the kit I could only trap 87 which due to the weather/inexperience/no traction/wrong tires/not broke in/too lean all contributed towards that im sure, i wont run again till i have the right tires and fuel setup

Possibly killed your 02 sensor.

Some more proof that higher ocatane doesn't help. unless tuned for the higher octane.

Remember, this is an Ecotec not a 2.4... The 2.4 rsm kits are running high 13's, i think im the first one with the Eco RSM kit to post track times.

Nothing against anyone..... but who with a RSM SC Kit on a 2.4 is running high 13s just with the SC Kit? Unless you mean a modded 2.4 with the Stage 2 Kit....

so much for the 65hp claimed by them... every jbody with the RSM kit i have seen run the 1/4mile with, run the same times at the GM s/c cars... and the RSM kits on the 2.2L were running slower times then the 2.4L's with gm's kit. 13.9 is believable with the rsm kit but not on a stock motor.

Im about to have a guy i know hack off that EGR and order a bigger drive pully lol. Im sure the 10psi pulley would set me well into the 13's

Im thinking a new fuel pump and hook up that FMU that comes with the kit (of corse when i do that ill put in an adjustable FPR too. Right now my a/f is in the 12's so im really not having any fuel issues... im sure an extra 5-6 psi would cause problems but hopefully with a fuel pump/fmu/reg i will be able to keep the stock injectors.
