i believe with the GM SC you have to change out the complete blower neck to swap a pulley.

Acutally thats not the case. It is a press on pulley that can be pulled off. Just be very carefull cause there is a needle bearing in the back of the snout that can and will get damaged if the pulley is not taken off properly a(ie banging it with a hammer to get it off). I ended up making a backing plate and then used a power steering pulley puller to get it off.
I have no first hand experiance (don't have the GM chager for the 2.4) but I'm pretty sure that the shaft diameter is the same to you should be able to use an aftermarkter pulley from the 3800.

3.4" pulley?
i don't even know if you would see any boost with a 3.4" pulley on the M45 supercharger... they sell the Grand Prix supercharger pulleys in 2.7" -2.4" .... stock on the GM supercharger for the Jbody is 2.8" so you would need to go smaller for more boost
well im geting it, its like 150 less than the embree pully, sh!t, if all thats incorrect with it is that it has an extra place for a belt rib... i think i can deal with that.

Yea i didnt say it wouldnt work... i am saying you need to get one smaller then 2.8" to see more boost.... your one now is 2.8"... so going to a 3.4" would be a waist...
no i get that ( im not new to the GM charger,) what im asking is do you have to grind the snout down to make the 2.6in pully work like i would if i got the 2.5?
